Hivi-X vs Google Drive for RCIC document collection

Google Drive is general file storage — it does not tell an RCIC which documents are still missing, has no item-level approve/reject workflow, and is hosted outside Canada by default. Hivi-X is purpose-built document intake: reusable checklists, my-id.ca client portal, missing-item dashboard, item-level approve/reject, and audit-ready export on Canadian infrastructure. Many Ontario RCICs start with a shared Google Drive folder per client. It works until the file gets busy — then nobody knows which police certificate is current, which employer letter was rejected, or whether the file is complete before ITA day 60.

Hivi-X replaces the folder with a checklist: clients upload per item via a secure guest link or my-id.ca portal, you approve or reject each submission, and the dashboard shows what is still missing.

Hivi-X is the intake and QC layer. Some firms export the final PDF package to Drive or their CRM after Hivi-X assembly — but the chase happens in Hivi-X, not a shared folder.

Drive can be configured securely, but default sharing is US-hosted and lacks RCIC-specific intake workflow. Hivi-X provides Canadian hosting, encryption, and checklist-centric QC.
