Core document groups
Identity and civil status
- Valid passport (all pages as required)
- Birth certificate
- Marriage certificate or divorce decree (if applicable)
Language tests
- IELTS, CELPIP, or TEF results within IRCC validity period
- Test report form numbers for portal entry
Education
- Degrees and transcripts
- Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) from a designated organization (e.g. WES)
Work experience
- Employment reference letters on company letterhead (NOC-aligned duties, dates, hours, salary)
- Pay stubs, tax documents, or contracts as supporting evidence
Police certificates
- RCMP certificate (Canada) or country-specific certificates
- Covering 6+ consecutive months residence since age 18 (EE may request 10-year history)
Proof of funds
- Bank letters or statements showing required settlement funds
- Currency and account-holder names matching applicant
Digital photos, medical, translations
- IRCC-spec digital photos
- Panel physician medical exam when required
- Certified English or French translations with translator certification
IRCC and representative forms
- IMM 0008 (Generic Application), IMM 5669 (Schedule A), program-specific schedules
- IMM 5476 (Use of a Representative) — signed by client and RCIC
